No they are not. It is a political agenda. The homo lobby has preyed upon the idea of unlimited sex without consequences, in weak people, who wish to appear popular, sexy, radical and wanted by someone.
Many homosexuals have been sexually indoctrinated by lesbians, feminists and progressives.
I once interviewed a panel of gay men who were in charge of teaching us tolerance, and they ended up walking out of the class in revolt to my “very mean” questions.

My guess is that you asked them about their upbringing and the assiciated “sexual exposures” brought on by (1) being influenced by a homo and, (2) being left completely alone to “figure things out” concerning their sexuality.
It is (2) that is worse. Without proper structure and guidance at an early age, the genetals become quite the focus point.
