The report I'm hearing just this minute is that Egypt is experiencing "Small 'a' apocalyptic violence".
It was explained that there are almost no choices left to avoid the election of an islamiscist government, even with elections being coordinated by the military. The report concluded that the greatest lesson coming out of this is that it was complete idiocy to have been manipulated into getting rid of Mubarak.

No doubt Mubarek was better for us. And that should have been our determining factor. But not only that, it will likely turn out that he was better for Egypt than the alternatives.
Oh, oh - that sunstable region may be losing its sunshine!
