As of now, here are the levels compared to the 1979-2008 mean:
Northern Hemisphere: Down 1.143 million square kilometers
Southern Hemisphere: Up 1.194 million square kilometers
Net INCREASE in sea-ice compared to 1979-2008 mean: 51 thousand square kilometers
