A lot of evidence wasnt presented to find him guilty, said [Jury Foreman] Crabb, a 32-year-old rap artist.
Had Hill been convicted of all 27 charges including racketeering, theft by taking, making false statements and violating his oath of office he could have been sentenced to 455 years in prison.
Prosecutors presented evidence that Hill drove his county-issued cars on out-of-state vacations, taking with him female companions who also worked for him. He used his county issued credit card to buy gas while on the road, to buy electronics during his trip to south Florida the day after he lost his 2008 re-election bid and to pay $140 toward the cost of renting a three-bedroom cabin in Helen in the north Georgia mountains.
He was also charged with stealing from taxpayers when he had one of his traveling companions classified as on paid administrative leave and out sick so she could continue to get her county salary while vacationing with the sheriff.
The last of the charges accused Hill of having his then-spokesman Jonathan Newton work on his autobiography during county work hours and of steering kickbacks from a publisher to Newton.

His lawyers finally got him off by playing the race card overtly and directly. In the closing moments of this trial, they declared, "There's been a sea of whiteness casting allegations against him," and that was all it took to convince a jury consisting of one white man, an Asian man, three black women and seven black men. Off the hook and free to steal more.
I believe what goes around, comes around.....
This is why we need to bring back lynching (caught in the act=hanging from a tree), AND, shoot-on-sight of criminal act, with no chance of shyster playing the OJ Jury game, and NO REPEAT OFFENSES.
I believe what goes around, comes around....."
Yeah; you mean like what was done in the Trayvon Martin case, and all the looting and mayhem from Holder's People that followed?
Whitey doesn't protest and burn down other people's homes and property, and LOOT to "protest".....
You spoke too soon. Did you forget left whitey. They do go around destroying property
From the looks of the pictures of him hugging his attorneys and then pulling up a pick of one of them, he may have used the race card, but it didn’t stop him from using whitey to represent him.
What’s ironic is they bring up a “sea of whiteness”. Clayton Cty was pretty much ALL white just a few years ago. It wasn’t all that bad until Atlanta started shutting down all the housing projects and forcing people out to the suburbs. Much to the displeasure of those people in the suburbs.
I believe that evil doers will eventually be caught up in their own evil....maybe its just a hope....
