CAIRO (Reuters) - Egypt said U.S. President Barack Obama's remarks condemning a violent crackdown on Islamist protesters, were not based on "facts" and will strengthen and encourage violent groups, the presidency said in a statement on Friday.
It said Egypt was facing "terrorist acts" in reference to recent attacks on churches and government buildings that Egypt blames on supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohamed Mursi.

Ironic that Obama gave that speech in Cairo in 2009 where he apologized for prior American policies and outlined his vision and hopes for the Muslim world. Doesn’t look like the Egyptians will be inviting back for any more of those inspiring words.
We oppose the pursuit of martial law, which denies those rights to citizens under the principle that security trumps individual freedom or that might makes right.

Egypt would be a wretched mess with or without President You Didn’t Build That’s meddling. I’m sure that place is a worse mess as a result of his meddling, but that was only one component of many.
Exactly. That has been the goal of the Obama Administration all along.
First the Obama Administration overthrew Mubarak. Then the Obama Administration maneuvered to get Morsi and the Islamic Brotherhood into power. The Muslim Brotherhood established a brutal dictatorship, mismanaged the country and destroyed the Egyptian economy.
Finally, out of desperation the people in Egypt who are literally close to starving overthrew the Muslim Brotherhood and the military took over. Now Obama is encouraging Morsi and his thugs to burn churches, murder Christians and engage in a violent revolt against the government. When these violent thugs are stopped from killing people then and only then does Obama object.
The goal of the Obama Administration is to promote violent, brutal Muslim Brotherhood dictatorships throughout the region. They are using the resources of the United States Government to fund this misguided policy. It is only because the Obama Administration has been incompetent that they have not succeeded.
At least not yet.
