It was a former staffer for Rick Santorum, a Republican, who made the analogy. Burnett simply said that she now could not get the image out of her head.

This is what passes for professional journalism and ethics in the Obamanation. She has a history of this. She stated that President Bush looked like a monkey while she was at CNBC. She had to apologize.

Actually, while that story IDs him, correctly, as a former staffer for Rick Santorum. According to Wikipeida, he currently works for Mike Huckabee’s PAC.

but we media have no bias. certainly doesn’t affect how we report about the rabid spider monkey rand paul.

It’s called “Creating Opinion through Negative Imagery”.
I’m 100% SURE that description came up through the MediaMatters/DailyKos system, and you will much more of it.

So Media Matters got a guy who works for Mike Huckabee’s PAC and who used to work for Rick Santorum and the South Carolina Republican Party to go on CNN and compare Rand Paul to a spider monkey?

But we are full of hate, and they are full of love.

I can’t imagine 0bama as a spider monkey, or any other monkey, for that matter. Monkeys have a lot of strength, agility and natural athletic skill.

A ‘spider monkey’ like Rand Paul would in my opinion be preferable to a PIG like Major, Napoleon, Squealer and Governor Christie.

That's a line from Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby Yep, except for the gratuitous "rabid" that was tossed in for good measure.

Im just loving Hogans rabid spider monkey comment, she said. Rand Paul well no offense Rand Paul I can see you as a rabid spider monkey.
As the segment continued with her second guest, Burnett couldnt shake the image out of her head.
I just have an image of Chris Christie battling a rabid spider monkey and its just funny, she laughed.

What does it say that Rick Santorum, Miek Huckabee and the South Carolina Republican Party hired such a person?

It must be some kind of sickness on the CNN microphones...she used to be fairly good, but now definitely has “caught it.”

Why is she getting blamed for acknowledging that a metaphor used by a Republican guest made her laugh?
