For all the hate of McCain and Romney, we would have been better served to have Cruz hold their feet to the fire than Obamas.

I’d think by now everyone would see that the GOP despises them. Pathetic as Dole was, he was an arch lib compared to McCain/Romney.
That steady march to the left like to be ignored by the excusemakers though. So the next GOP candidate should be either Hillary or perhaps Obama himself. It would fit the pattern.
