In Iraq museum curators locked up the priceless artifacts before the invasion.

When journalists went through in the wake of US forces, the artifacts were not there, so they postulated that US forces had looted them.

I would be surprised if museum curators, with their livelihood dependent on the state of the artifacts, had not protected their artifacts.

One can hope.

It turns out the British were right to have taken most of the good stuff. Never trust savages with anything of value. Even if it belongs to them.

Nobama just like all other mooselimbs could care less about non-muslim antiquities.

Next will be them bombing the Sphinx or the Pyramids.

There are a lot of places they could destroy. We should ruin them if they ruin the ruins.

Ali Babba and the forty thieves at work again...

That is consistent with the iSlam I know. All they have ever gotten is what they stole from others through raiding and looting.

I really like the following quote ““Jihad ~ there was and is nothing holy about these wars: which are primarily to plunder, slaughter, rape, subjugate and rob other other human beings of their wealth , produce freedom and dignity. Mohammedan muslim states and tribes attacked other non muslim groups to achieve these objectives.””

They are looters not creators or builders.

That was unique...Curators stole most of the ones in Baghdad....and got caught. A lot of these curators and archeologists are scum.

Yah... And what I should have said was that many of the reports of museums being robbed in Iraq were hoaxes, or over reactions. In many cases curators had taken steps in the months leading up to the war to take important artifacts and secure them elsewhere. It would be useful to know if that's the case here as well. Curators the world over are a pretty dedicated bunch. The Iraqi curators had months of warning before the invasion, and perhaps these Egyptians didn't have so much time... But still, hopefully they got some of their key pieces out early.

I’m all for giving the stinking muslims all the small arms they can haul and then quit buying their oil. They won’t have the money to carry their terror beyond their own backyard and can kill each other until the cows come home.

Oh, nuts . . . not AGAIN! Didn't the Egyptians learn anything from the ‘Arab Spring’ looting? I guess not.
