PHOENIX - More than a dozen valley car washes were raided over the weekend -- managers, not just workers, were the targets.
Federal agents served search-and-arrest warrants Saturday at 16 locations associated with Danny's Family Car Wash and the company's staffing service provider, HR Betty.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents rounded up more than 200 employees. Many did not have criminal backgrounds and were released. The workers still jailed were shackled and still in their uniforms when they went before a federal judge Monday afternoon.
ICE says the investigation targets the owners and leaders of the two businesses and that multiple people, including 4 U.S. citizens and 10 Mexican nationals, face charges of criminal immigration fraud, identity theft and financial violations.
"Laura's husband was deported 10 years ago and came back. I don't think that is something that makes someone dangerous to the community. To me, that means that he wanted to be here with his family and he wanted to work," added Tania Unzueta of the National Day Labor Organizing Network.
To me ice is keeping your husband locked up means they like him being where he is suppose to be.
What happened? I might expect a Texas sheriff to do this, but Federal Agents?

She claimed her husband had no criminal record,correct me if I am wrong,would he not have criminal record from his being deported once before and he made a return trip back here ? Do illegals themselves believe being deported is really not criminal act at all and they can come back for they decided another unjust law that can be ignored... ?
On the one hand, this is nothing new, employers involved in human trafficking, but, on the other, I fully expect heads to roll in the local ICE office, given this administration’s determination to ruin the country.

Feds need authorization from the Sheriff’s Office to do this sort of thing.
