DiMaggio family requests Hannah Anderson DNA
CNN ^ | 8/21/13 | Amanda Watts

James DiMaggio's family is requesting DNA samples from the family of Hannah Anderson, the 16-year-old girl he's accused of kidnapping and whose mother and brother were found dead in his burned home.

The reason? They want to know if he was the biological father of the children, Hannah and Ethan, the family spokesman said.

"We are going to be requesting from the Anderson family that we try to get DNA samples from Hannah. And if they have anything left from Ethan -- that we get a DNA sample," family spokesman Andrew Spanswick told CNN affiliate KGTV. "There has been a lot of rumors that Jim might be the father of either or both children."

Reached by CNN, Spanswick said DiMaggio's sister, Lora, is making the request -- but would not elaborate further.

Hannah was in a car with DiMaggio about 20 hours before he allegedly set fire to his house, police said Tuesday. The two were seen in DiMaggio's blue Nissan Versa just after midnight Sunday, August 4, said San Diego County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell.

She confirmed reporting from the Los Angeles Times that the two were spotted at a U.S. Border checkpoint. Caldwell did not say what the two were doing together, or if Hannah Anderson was with DiMaggio voluntarily.

CNN was unable to get an Anderson family response to this revelation as well

On Monday, the Anderson family spokeswoman told CNN that DiMaggio left a life insurance policy from his job as a telecommunications tech that named Hannah and Ethan's grandmother, Bernice Anderson, as the beneficiary.

Stacy Hess, the spokeswoman, did not know the dollar amount but other media outlets put it around $110,000

"We find it very strange that he has left this money without any explanation," in explaining the need for DNA tests.

Oh? Is that the issue?

I admit I haven’t followed the story all that close.

Yes, a simple paternity test is the rational answer. It’s pretty obvious that Dimaggio was not rational, because rational men do not commit this type of crime or allow themselves to be manipulated into by 16 year old twits.

There are definitely things wrong with the reported timelines and Hannah’s statements and police statements, but that is par for the course because journalism stinks in the telecommunication age. They keep saying a DNA swab kit was found because it’s on the warrant list, but what that means is a swab kit was used in the collection of evidence and the swabbings have to be listed, same as the stain collection kits also listed.

Everyone is curiously mum on the two used condoms in the garage as well.

So then this crack team of police investigators left their SDPD certified DNA Swab Kit in the burned out vehicle and were then dumb enough to list it as evidence collected at the scene???

They get the day of the cheerleading practice wrong and don't figure it out for two weeks.

They see a picture of the two of them at a border checkpoint at midnight and assume that to mean they are headed to Idaho even though Mexico is south and Idaho is north.

They still don't have the time of death for the mother -- what's the problem there.

The two of them are still using phones on the way to Idaho that Hannah says had been burned up in the fire.

No wonder they want to close this investigation as soon as possible -- they have bungled the investigation and have been played by a 16 year old girl.

Have you read many warrants? The type of kits used are listed as part of the evidence seized because whatever is collected by their use is as yet unknown.

So this warrant lists two stain collection kits and 1 DNA swab kit as having been used to collect evidence.

As for the checkpoint picture, consultation with google maps indicates that the checkpoint was 20 miles or so northwest of his home, which is why they assumed he went north to ID.

The final autopsy report release is pending until the toxicology reports are done.

<>So this warrant lists two stain collection kits and 1 DNA swab kit as having been used to collect evidence.<>

So then the DNA Swab Kit listed here is the police kit — that makes sense.

San Diego County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell said DiMaggio and the 16-year-old were photographed in his Nissan Versa at a westbound Old Highway 8 checkpoint at 12:10 a.m. on Aug 4.

The westbound Old Highway 8 checkpoint is not on the way to Idaho but to San Diego or Lakeside where her apartment was.

There are conflicting news reports, some say Old Highway 8 (which doesn’t exist and is confused with Old Mission Hwy 8) and Old Highway 80.

The actual checkpoint is on Old Highway 80 3 miles east of Pine Valley and one can conveniently turn North on Hwy 79 and go to Idaho.

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=interstate+8+pine+valley+ca&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x80d68b90db87166b:0x113e8a9e07253fe1,Interstate+8,+Pine+Valley,+CA+91962&gl=us&ei=9zUVUqSTOunuiQKwsIDIDQ&ved=0CCwQ8gEwAA

But they could have gone back to Lakeside as well, before continuing north to ID. Either works.

Hmmmmmm ...

Hannah Anderson's father was not kidnapper DiMaggio, family says

The family of Hannah Anderson responded Wednesday to suggestions that the man who kidnapped the Lakeside teenager may have been her biological father, saying her parents met James DiMaggio when her mother was pregnant.

Stacy Hess, a spokeswoman for the Anderson family, released a statement to The Times via email.

"Brett and Tina Anderson met Mr. DiMaggio when Tina was in her sixth month of pregnancy with Hannah,"

It remains unclear when Christina and Ethan Anderson were killed.

So they don't know the time of death or they just don't want to say when she died because it might implicate the Lolita???

Ya had to wonder when this was going to happen. There had to be SOME reason why the perp was so close to the family.

Maybe she will wear her cheerleading outfit and tell us who dropped her off at cheerleading practice on August 3rd and who that unknown person was who picked her up.

Maybe she will tell us how she could be using a cell phone to talk to him 13 times on Sunday on the way to Idaho that she had left back at his house on Saturday to be burned up.

Maybe she will agree to a DNA paternity test — afterall if she is his biological daughter she will inherit whatever property he has left — and that’s a legal issue that needs to be settled.

Well maybe if you would answer the questions that she should have no problem with but doesn’t seem to have answers for at this time, then we can move on:

1]When did they arrive at his place that weekend???

2]When did he tie up her mom and brother???

3]When was the last time she saw or heard her mom/brother alive and what were they doing???

4]Who dropped her off at cheerleader practice on Saturday afternoon at Sweetwater High???

5]Did she say anything to anyone about what was going on while at cheerleader practice???

6]When did she pick up those sweatpants and cold weather clothes she was wearing in Idaho when she was found.

7]Does she know who filed the missing persons report on the family Saturday afternoon.

8What happened to her phone. Was it burned up in the fire as she says.

9]The police say that you left for Idaho Saturday midnight but then subsequently exchanged 13 calls/texts with him on Sunday afternoon just before the phones were shut off together at 4:00 — What were those calls all about and how were you able to make those calls if your phone was back at his burning cabin as you claim.

10] Why is it that it has been over a week and yet she won’t sit down with the police to provide the answers to these simple unobtrusive questions.

11]Are you now working with a publicist before you have sat down with the police to help you craft your story.

Please help me out with those and then we can move on.
