am running to represent Illinois 13th Congressional District. During the course of this campaign, I look forward to hearing your concerns regarding the challenges facing our country, sharing with you my ideas for strengthening our economy and protecting our fundamental liberties, and, hopefully, earning your support.

I may have to send her a contribution.
She IS taking on an incumbent Republican in the primary, but this is not a Liz Cheney carpetbagger...Erika is FROM Illinois....not moving there to unseat a long-stading conservative.
Being crowned Miss America, 2003.
Speaking at a Heritage Foundation event...
Not very detailed, I know...but still encouraging.
Can you imagine Erika going up against Maxine Waters, or Debbie Blabbermouth Schmuck??? She'd crush them. Handily.
I’m liking what I’m seeing here. She seems well grounded. I’ll have to study up on her some more, but on first blush she looks like she could be the real deal.
Thank you.
Now, if we can just get Mia Love back there with her... :^)
If you want to see all of Liberaldom short circuit, put her on the VP ticket with Palin!!
:)
Definately worth keeping an eye on her. I am gladdened by the fresh new blood that I see stirring in conservative politics.
Why is she vying for an already safe Republican seat? Illinois has enough problems getting good Republicans. I wish she had chosen another district.
And there’s the reason why we’re in some of the mess we are.
We hear one good word, and we go wobbly.
Remember Chris Christy and Marco Rubio?
Give the woman a chance to prove herself. Then in time maybe.
Way too many Republicans are proposing by the end of the first date.
This is where I see Palin as being more important than on a national ticket. The thing she does the best, IMO, is to generate the base. She engages local and state people, who eventually go on to bigger and (hopefully) better things. To put it in baseball terms, she is great at building the farm system.
Read the Weekly Standard link on her web site...it explains why she is going after the Republican in the primary...it isn’t, as I said, a Liz Cheney-type deal.
I like her, from what I saw in the article. She isn’t an Obama basher, probably because she is in Illinois...but she is definitely on the opposite side of the Clown on every issue. Just a different tact from most of us here on FR. :)
Not really:
1.) Democrats are not NEARLY as demanding about consideration OR selection of a nominee... it did just great for THEM!
2.) Can you imagine the spine it takes for ANYONE, not to mention a minority WOMAN, to step up to the plate and call herself a Conservative in THIS political climate?
At one point Christy and Rubio both showed spine.
How did that work out for us?
Using the measuring stick you just laid out there, we should be thrilled both of them are in our ranks.
I believe you know better.
Let’s keep an eye on her. Over time she’ll prove/disprove her worth. THEN, not now, we support her for more responsibility.
One of our bright shining stars can’t even figure out who and what John McCain is. That should be a lesson for all of us.
Sadly, it isn’t. Man we have got to quit going all in on people who don’t get it.

There is a lot to like about her.
My one concern is her views on prison and parole reform. While I agree that steps can be taken to reduce recidivism, I hope she tempers her desire to see prisoners reformed with the common sense to realize that a huge percentage will never, ever change.
The last thing we need is more bleeding heart “conservatives” like Mike Huckabee, who buy any sob story or “conversion” story from any hardened thug, and turn them loose on society to rob, beat, rape and murder innocent people.
See who she gets to run the campaign.
Mia Love failed because she got a gang of Rove/Romney suits to run her campaign for her.
For example, Palin offered to help by goosing a moneybomb on her Facebook page, and Love got some money through that. Love said not a word of thanks to Palin for the shout out and the Money Bomb. The suits didn’t want her to say a word to Palin.
That said a lot to me.
Love lost by a small margin. Watch and see if this gal does the same stuff.
Best,
Chris
She is deeply involved in church activities...I just took a glance at her twitter feed on her campaign site.
erika4congress is the twitter name, I believe.
she also takes donations as small as $5 on her site. Truly grassroots stuff. :)
Young, black, conservative, female Republican... Watch for the SRM to do their best to destroy her in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 and say she does not understand 0 bummer’s agenda.
FUBO and all demon crats.
Well, yeah. But Palin would “generate” and “invigorate” the Conservative base a lot more as the nominee!
