Ted Cruz currently has Canadian citizenship and I won’t be voting for him. Period.
So vote for Hillary then.
Ted Cruz currently has Canadian citizenship and I wont be voting for him. Period.Senator Cruz has already stated that if necessary, since he was not aware of his Canadian citizenship, he will renounce his Canadian citizenship.
What’s your rationale there?
He’s going to renounce the Canadian citizenship, but I wouldn’t care if he didn’t.
What are you afraid he’ll do—give Detroit to the Parti Quebecois?
So some foreign government says they bestowed it on him and he qualifies. He has never recognized it and renounces any claim to it.
Besides, he is a natural born American. He is a citizen of the USA by virtue of birth. No naturalization was required.
The constitution mentions Aliens, citizens, and natural born citizens. If you gain citizenship by birth, you are indeed NBC. Naturalization makes you a “citizen”.
Everything else is non constitutional BS parlor games that sound like made up sorority membership rules.
“Ted Cruz currently has Canadian citizenship and I wont be voting for him. Period.”
We’ll put you in the Hillary voter column.
We currently have a Kenyan citizen sitting in the Whitehut. Dual Canadian-US citizenship doesn’t sound so bad. :-)
I don’t really like jumping on bandwagons too quickly, Rubio, Ryan, sometimes they abandon Conservatives on big issues. That being said I like Ted Cruz and at this time find no one better. I too am disturbed about citizenship but it’s not my job or within my power to declare him elgible or inelgible and if the powers that be declare him elgible and he’s on the ballot I’ll support and vote for him. Again we can thank democrats for elgibility standards being clouded.
Even if it means that another Constitution-hating Communist will occupy the WH. I can’t relate, even a little bit. You would in effect be willing to destroy the Constitution to save it! *sigh* Bob
Fine, you’re in the Hillary camp. Do you need directions to DU?
