I saw the INTEL-SAT photos of Russian convoys, too, heading toward Lebanon and Bekka Valley. I’m guessing they weren’t carrying rice and beans. I should have saved them; they were scrubbed pretty quickly.

Whoopee-doo. The USA still has no reason to get involved in Syria.

IIRC there were several cases of deliberate (but small) attacks with nerve gas weapons in Iraq during and after 2003. And some accidental releases also. The stuff was from old stocks apparently pre-1991. It just wasn’t very deadly. AFAIK nobody on our side was killed by these attacks.

I suspect our old stuff also is of questionable potency by now. Not to say it isn’t dangerous, I’m sure it is, but not what it used to be.

Russian Kgb chief Primikov was in Iraq at the time. So was leftist Sen Rockefeller who told them that Bush was serious about going to war against Iraq. This prompted the move of the weapons. Bush covered up Russia’s acts. You know, must get along with those commies. It’s be going on since Roosevelt was President. Read “American Betrayal”

NO!!!

They didn’t have any stockpiles.../s

On a serious note:
I don’t for a second believe Asshat Assad used chems on his own subjects.

The opposition made collateral damage for their PR campaign to the world.

Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely says he has confirmation that Syrian forces...

I'd like to see this proof before we go getting involved in any of this. It would surprise me to hear the rebels did it to their own people just to get us involved.

I don’t want them in Syria either.

But, that doesn’t mean Syria’s WMD’s don’t originate in Iraq.

My guess is that the chemical attacks are by insurgents on civilians. They are losing badly and have nothing to lose as the US SOS (Sack of Sh!t) Kerry-Heinz and the EU will be too biased and stupid to figure it out. The weapons were probably captured from Syrian bases in early fighting but held back until they could be used on the sly.

They may originate with U.S. intelligence agencies; check out this video.

If this allegation is correct, the chemical weapons attacks are false-flag attacks designed by the Obama administration (or whoever controls Obama) in order to push a war-agenda.

I remember seeing an episode of ABC’s “Nightline” a number of years ago, during the early years of the Iraq War.

Ted Koppel played an audio tape of an Iraqi general saying that Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction were sent to Syria by plane during the summer of 2002. There was a dam collapse of some kind in Syria, and Saddam Hussein was sending plane loads of humanitarian aid to Syria.....at least, that was the official story. The planes contained the WMD’s, not humanitarian aid, according to this Iraqi general.

The audio tape was in Arabic and was translated into English.

Just adding this old “Nightline” episode to the mix.....

“Most of this stuff just doesn’t keep very well.”

I don’t know, there’s an Army chemical weapons depot about 25 miles from my home, and some of the stuff stored has been there for sixty years. In fact, last year I interviewed for a technical writing job on the program to destroy the stockpile.

Considered posting this Breitbart article on the subject, but figured this thread covered it well enough. But the Breitbart article does reference your General:
