Judges order Christians to work for 'gays' [photographers]

Justices on the New Mexico Supreme Court have ruled that the First Amendment does not protect the beliefs of Christians, and owners of a photography company in that state must violate their faith in order to continue to do business.

“The Huguenins today can no more turn away customers on the basis of sexual orientation – photographing a same-sex marriage ceremony – than they could refuse to photograph African-Americans or Muslims,” the opinion from the court said.

****

Threatened the judges, “At its heart, this case teaches that at some point in our lives all of us must compromise, if only a little, to accommodate the contrasting values of others. A multicultural, pluralistic society, one of our nation’s strengths, demands no less. The Huguenins are free to think, to say, to believe, as they wish; they may pray to the God of their choice and follow those commandments in their personal lives wherever they lead. The Constitution protects the Huguenins in that respect and much more. But there is a price, one that we all have to pay somewhere in our civic life.”

In Texas you don’t need to cite a reason for letting someone go, its better not to

Thou shalt not blaspheme sodomy or you shall not work and you shall not eat.

It’s the new mark of the beast.

I was a preacher in kalifornia and could see the handwriting on the wall, viz. the fascists in govt will make it a crime to denounce faggots for the filth of their lifestyle.

These are perilous times we're living in, bros.

It will be a crime not to openly approve of it.

Exactly, same in AZ. I’ve gotten the strict instructions from HR a couple of times: never give a reason for the termination, and never discuss it with anyone outside the company (and even in the company discretion must be used), if another company calls to confirm resume give dates of employment and title only. It’s a simple rule when discrimination laws can come into play: if you can keep your mouth shut, DO. In this age you can’t even pop somebody for being an alcoholic, it’s a medical condition and you can’t “discriminate” against the ill. Anybody familiar with the discrimination tango on termination knew how this one was going to end.

Why is not a violation of religious freedom?

They would have to put me in jail, I would not do it!

I remember a guy getting fired from a store I worked at, the next time I saw him he was wearing a security guard uniform. He had really been fired for stealing but they never even told the other companies that called.

You are much closer to the truth than you might realize...

Reading in Revelations 8 last night. And the Bible I am using pointed out that the reference to “Sodom and Egypt,” is allegorical. Check the Greek translation means ‘spiritually.’

At that moment I could not help but consider how the regime is trying to spread the message of homosexuality throughout the world. Just this past July 0bama was in Africa touting the decriminalization to Russia’s recent actions heading into the Olympics...

And the witnesses laid in the street that is allegorically Sodom and Egypt, where their Lord was crucified.

Deeper spiritual meaning than what is plainly read...

Does this apply to Muslims too? If so, this should be fun to watch.

I perused that first amendment thingy again and it does say, that you have the right to your religious beliefs, except where compromise is called for.

I just hope that we are able to put these judges behind bars someday who fabricate this stuff just to satisfy their personal fetishes.

I wonder how that compromise clause will work with that second amendment thingy.

I don’t understand it either but this isn’t the first business taken to court over this and lost and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Plus, they're not refusing service to gay customers. If the same customers came in and wanted photographers for a birthday party or a graduation, I don't think they'd be turned down.

They are devious and duplicitous, intentionally playing Gotcha! by choosing to attack those businesses whose products or services would give a defacto credence to the lie of a homosexual "marriage". If the transactions were homo-neutral, such as in the examples you gave, who would care. I doubt they are wasting time at 7-11s to see if they'll have trouble buying Slurpees.

The purpose is not only to validate the deviancy, but to enforce the government's power to pervert the language whenever it wants, especially the time-honored words that describe sacred traditions and values, respected institutions, and cultural norms that serve to elevate and support a healthy society.

Once the word "family" was corrupted to include all manner of shack-ups, shake-ups, mix-ups, and screw-ups, there wasn't a sturdy enough foundation left to withstand the bully forces that have redefined "marriage" to include something it is not and never will be.

Now that the world of lies is hopped up on speed, those in utter rebellion to truth are on a mission to destroy those whose values are not and will not be determined/debased by "popular" culture, government edict, or any other aggressive conversion tactics employed by the dark side.

I have read comments here along the lines of, "Don't these people know that they aren't winning acceptance, so their victories are nothing but a delusion?" Oh they know all right. It is only a lawful, moral people who perceive successful change as being of open-hearted choices free of coersion and deception. The Amalekite mind, OTOH, is perfectly satisfied with power for the sake of power. These folks couldn't care less if you agree with them out of free will or with feigned words, so long as you submit to their will.

The scumbags are seeking out to coerce every business owner that might still resist supporting the gay mafia agenda.

Sure, there are plenty of wedding photographers they could choose who want the business, but no, they have to ram this down the throats of everyone who would resist or dissent. It will go this way through every kind of business category as our freedoms continue to erode.

“There seems to be nowhere in Obama’s America to escape it. I would not be the least surprised to see the leftists demanding Christian photographers document some of their other sacred rites—an abortion, perhaps, or a porn shoot. I mean, we all have to compromise, don’t we?”

Yep. By the court’s logic, a Christian (or Jew or Muslim) would have to shoot porn.

Whatever happened to the long-held view that “your right to throw a punch ends at my chin?” They have the right to be married. They do not have the right to force me to document it for them.

This is not what “civil rights” is supposed to be about.

A simple solution.

Photograph them in a standardized backdrop of an open Bible ten feet high open to the Scriptures that mandate marriage to be between a man and woman. Trusting God to honor our honoring of Himself often opens doors to things we never dreamed of. Personally, I would patronize such a photographer simply because of such a stand.

Film photography: fix before developing.

Digital photography: Gaussian noise and blurring — lots of it... And, “Oooops! my memory card got erased...”
