The latest excuse I’ve heard is that all the rain Australia has been getting the last few years is preventing a global sea rise. Big desert, more rain, little reaching the ocean.
Yeah... what we need are some big balloons with solar-powered (gotta' be green) fans that can divert large rain storms to desert areas. Then we could fine-tune the level of the oceans as required.
I can't wait to count the grant money for that idea. /smile
