he End of Global Sea Level Rise
Space and Science Research Corporation ^ | Thursday, August 22, 2013

Posted on 08/23/2013 3:07:00 AM PDT by dontreadthis

In a news conference held near Miami, Florida last night, the Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC) announced that the global threat of sea level rise caused by decades of global warming is ending. Speaking to cheering supporters from several groups from the general Miami area, SSRC President Mr. John Casey issued a formal declaration of the end of global sea level rise during a presentation in which he discussed the vital role the Sun plays in climate change and how the past growth in sea levels was caused by the Sun and not mankind. The event was sponsored by the American Citizens League. The declaration read:

“As a result of the Sun entering a ‘hibernation’ phase, the Space and Science Research Corporation hereby declares that the past two hundred years of global sea level rise is expected to end no earlier than mid-2014 and no later than 2020. After that time, global sea levels are expected to begin a long term period of decline, lasting at least through the decade of the 2030’s. The estimated global sea level decline during that period will range from 20 to 25 cm from current levels.”

Casey elaborated with, “The many climate models that have taken two decades and billions of dollars to fabricate have been utter scientific failures. Once you take the greenhouse gas theory out of the laboratory and try in in the real world it just does not stand up. Not only has there been no effective growth in the planet’s temperature for sixteen years, but current temperature trends show the Earth’s oceans have been cooling for ten years and the atmosphere for seven years! These real world indicators of the true status of the Earth’s climate are of course, an impossibility if the greenhouse gas theory really worked and mankind’s CO2 emissions had the effect as has been alleged. On the other hand, using solar variations for climate prediction, we see global warming ended and the next climate began right on schedule.”

Grog Island on the Chesapeake Bay vanished in my lifetime, not because of sea level rise, but of the loss of sea grass. The northeast side of the island used to have acres of underwater sea grass in the shallow waters on the most exposed side of the island. The grass calmed the waves and prevented erosion. The grass died out and within ten years the island was gone.

I have been coming to Deltaville for 50 years and the Bay waters at high and low tide are exactly where they have been since 1966 on the docks and sea walls that have been there since that time.

He holds a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics (JSU- 1971) and an M.A. in Management (Webster Univ. 1981).

Interesting Bio. I'd like to know what he did for NASA....was he at the pointy end of the stick, or was he a bureaucratic wonk like James Hansen?

The sea levels are falling! We are all going to die! (Caused, of course, by globull warming.)

The island could have been sinking. I have no idea.

This theory about the sun is just theory, also. When groups with a clear agenda tell me something is scientific, no matter their side, I remain skeptical.

"I have been coming to Deltaville for 50 years and the Bay waters at high and low tide are exactly where they have been since 1966 on the docks and sea walls that have been there since that time." My place near Reedville is only 35 years old, but the dock is and always has been 3-1/2 feet above the surface at mean low water. I guess we're immune to the threat of rising waters in the Northern Neck, huh? TC

A healthy dose of skepticism is always the way to approach any big claim.

However, unlike the popular with progressives greenhouse gas theory, solar activity leaves evidences of its effects that can be measured and studied. Also, telescopes were in use during the last big reduction in solar activity, the Maunder Minimun.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maunder_Minimum
At that time and in cooler periods since, there are recorded accounts of these cooler periods coinciding with the reduction in sunspots.

As time went on, the mere visual notation that sunspots sometimes go missing became scientific measurements as to how that affects earth’s cilmate.

So, yeah, this may be “just a sun theory” but, unlike the wildly speculative greenhouse gas theory, it is one that is well understood and quite predictable.

It's difficult to prove that a scientific theory is true. You have to collect data FOREVER and the data has to agree with the predictions of the theory.

This contrasts sharply with the relative ease of proving that a scientific theory is FALSE. You only have to find one reliable fact which fails to conform to the theory.

So-called "Anthropogenic Global Warming" fails to predict the lack of warming experienced during the most recent decade. You may safely reject such a theory.
