I don't think the correlation of naval assets in the East Med favor us vis a vis with Russia.

If Putin starts a tit for tat escalation we are going to be short soon without moving strategic assets from the Persian Gulf etc.

another senerio he does fire them off. Russia sinks some of our ships. You know obama would never replace anything that is sunk or destroyed. Many of our troops die he gets to replace them with his f4g military.

Yeah...and Egypt closes the Suez Canal to US naval forces.....(for the children)....and to prevent reprisals from irritated Egyptian owners of some heavy weaponry confiscated from the Muslim Brotherhood.
