Upon the anniversary of the March on Washington, John Lewis spoke to Meet the Press’ David Gregory about the legacy of the civil rights movement Sunday morning, encouraging America to embrace, not fear, the shifting demographics of the electorate that would put minorities in a place of political power.
“I think some forces want to create this sense of fear,” Lewis said. “They think that the country is moving too fast, or maybe becoming too progressive. The country’s not the same country. People are coming together. And in a short time, the minority will be the majority.”
Lewis is the sole surviving speaker of the 1963 march, and a longtime Democratic representative from Georgia.
“Is there backlash that comes with that?” Gregory asked.
“As Americans, we must be prepared to make that adjustment,” Lewis said. “Be courageous. Embrace the change.”
Then God help us who are not “Third World!”

I did national radio back in the late 80s about this demographic change (when there was a chance to stop it) & this radio host had millions of listeners & guess what ? We would go hours without getting a phone call, or response. Americans had no will, then or now, to survive. So here we are today nearing the end....
I must say, however, no one swallowed more birth control pills, with more zeal, than the white girls “liberated”.

Yep. Somewhere along the way, big families became frowned upon. Women decided to pursue their dreams — and they didn’t include having more than 1.5 children, or any at all.
Not sure if it was feminism or materialism, but both have had their way with this country.
The reality is that 53% of Hispanics self-describe themselves as white.
Can’t wait for the US to be Nigeria or Zimbabwe! What progress that’ll be....
