Egyptians Bewildered Over Support for Muslim Brotherhood
Gatestone Institute ^ | August 23, 2013 | Michael Armanious

What many Egyptians cannot understand is: Why is the U.S. administration siding with the forces of oppression in their country and assisting with its transformation into a failed state under the leadership of the Muslim Brotherhood? Egypt simply cannot be allowed to become another Somalia or Afghanistan, controlled by its own version of the Taliban.

The Egyptian people are astounded. They simply do not understand the Obama Administration's efforts to bring the Muslim Brotherhood back to power.

In an effort to make some sense of the Obama Administration's policies, Amr Adeeb, a prominent Egyptian commentator, argues that the U.S. is helping the Muslim Brotherhood to achieve power, in order to turn Egypt into a magnet for jihadist fighters. The goal, Adeeb states, is to turn Egypt into another Syria or Afghanistan and discredit Islamism as a viable political movement.

To Westerners, this may seem like a bizarre conspiracy theory, but for Egyptians it helps explain why the U.S. government is supporting an organization that has openly declared jihad against the West, engaged in threats of war with Israel and Ethiopia, demolished dozens of ancient historic churches, set hospitals on fire, and murdered Christians in the streets. The Muslim Brotherhood has no respect for the rule of law, but the Obama Administration treats the Egyptian military that removed the group from power as a threat to democracy itself.

...

Morsi also straightforwardly stated that he was recreating an Islamic "Caliphate."

Because Obama and the State Department are living in this dream world, in which they have convinced themselves that there are “moderate” Islamic parties that they can be buddies with - such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Turkey’s ruling party, etc., and thereby solve all the US’ problems in the Middle East. How romantic - Islamics, Christians, all the other religious sects living together in peace. If it weren’t for those obstreperous Jews, Egyptian generals, and some silly little misunderstandings between Shiites and Sunnis, everything would be hunky-dory.

For a while, Obama just loved Erdogan - considered him his best friend - until Erdogan started going batty (such as proclaiming that Israel was responsible for Morsi’s overthrow).

Obama is imprisoned by his ideology.

Because “democracy” is always better than a military dictatorship...right? It was much better for the democratically elected Hitler to take power than it would have been for the military to rule Germany after Hindenburg died...right? And it is better for all the sub-Saharan African countries to be ruled by kleptocrats and thugs than colonial powers...right? Think that couldn’t happen here? A democratic form of government is only as good as the character of the people who make up the citizenry. A democratically-elected dictator is still a dictator.

Why? Because we’re not at war with Islam extremists like the Egyptians are. We’re at war with something called “terrorism” instead of terrorists. At the same time we’re at war against “drugs” instead of drug dealers.

I would be so bold as to suggest that 95% of the women that support this have a a clitorectomy performed on them in the intrest of understanding cultural diversity and the equality of all cultures. Also in the interest of this understanding it must be performed without the benefit of anesthesia while they are held immobile by members of their family whom they trusted and loved.

The week after this is done to one of those idiot teachers I will listen to what they think. However a certain percentage will not be able to converse with me as they will be dying from septicemia and septic shock as a result of the clitorectomy performed in a squalid non sterile manner.

What is being done to women in the Arab World can only be described as consummate evil. This leads to another question about the men of Islam. What is in their psychology that would want them to not have their wives and daughters enjoy their God Given Sensuality and gift. I do not understand their thinking.

Where in the hell is the National Organization of Women on this issue???????????????

That 95% figure is from the World Health Organization and not a right wing organization. Click on following link for the stats.
