. The crazy man with the gun stated he didn’t want to kill anyone.

I respectfully disagreed. I wouldn't bet my life and rely upon the word of an crazy man with a gun.

If I had a gun I would have been sorely tempted to plug him. Especially given the recent history of gunmen in schools.

The lady had courage and this i applaud her actions. That took real guts...

I agree with you today, RedMonqey.

The woman did an absolutely extraordinary job and deserves high praise.

I am just tired of hearing it. I live in the area and the whole crew is being made out to be heroes. Fine, she was composed. She could melted or she could make the best of a very bad situation. Because our schools are gun free zones, I am sure she didn’t have a gun to plug him. Believe me, I believe that would have been the best outcome of this whole event. Unfortunately, our schools are soft targets. If this lunatic really wanted to kill like the crazy guy earlier in the year or the terrorist in Baslan, the victims would have been as numerous as his aim and ammo had allowed.

That said, I respect your respectful disagreement.
