I went to two week computer inventory class at Gunter several years back.
Gunter is a small base. With modern, hotel style lodgings, class rooms, a good sized BX and class sic store. And that’s about it.
One of the few bases whose east gate you can see when you enter the west main gate.
Maxwell, on the other hand, is about a ten minute drive away. And HUGE!
With flight line, hangars, a huge variety of aircraft and about six different Senior NCO and Officer Training Academies. With a base wide speed limit of around 15mph.
Also a 24 hour BX/Clothing Sales and Tailor Shop. And three different golf courses.
