President Obama’s “red line” on Syria isn’t quite as straightforward as it’s been made out to be...
The use of chemical weapons, itself, was not exactly Obama’s original “red line,” as he laid it out during a news conference at the White House on Aug. 20, 2012. For purposes of expediency and practicality, media outlets have simplified the “red line” as this: If Syria deployed chemical weapons against its own people, it would have crossed a threshold with the White House.
But what Obama said was a little less clear.
“We have been very clear to the Assad regime, but also to other players on the ground, that a red line for us is we start seeing a whole bunch of chemical weapons moving around or being utilized,” the president said a year ago last week. “That would change my calculus. That would change my equation.”
It was also unclear what the consequences of crossing that “red line” would be.

ABC, you may recall, does not give these benefits of the doubt to George W Bush, when he spoke of the existence of WMDs (they existed) or the abuse of women at the hands of the Islamofacists (it still happens, repeatedly)....but every utterance by the Clown is treated as Holy Writ, ONLY to be deciphered in light of the Clown's action or inaction.
Of all the bad reasons for us to join either side in this war, the stupidest has to be to hold Obama to an idiotic red line doctrine that was against our interest in the first place.
But the establishment is very horny for another war. And they cannot wait to establish a Sunni al qeida Christian murdering government in Syria.

When did Syria build WMD facilities?
After badly losing the 1967 and 1973 wars Syria embarked on a project to possess many WMD and deliverable warheads on SCUD missiles.
They have had these capabilities since about 1980.
In 1982 Israel convinced them not to get involved in aerial combat with the Israeli Air Force as they lost something like 100 to Israel's one helicopter. Realizing that their air power was no good they switched gears.
After 1982 they went hell-bent on SCUDs and NB weapons so they are armed to the teeth with this stuff.
If it was simply dispersed rather than destroyed it could kill a lot of people. They'd all blame the US for it.
If I were the President I'd let them kill each other deal with whoever wins assuming there is anyone left (I hope and pray there was nobody left but not say so publicly)
Not sure how they can bomb a chemical storage base without releasing nasty materials into the atmosphere. Wouldn’t it be interesting if a Noble Peace Prize Laurete creates a poison gas cloud over Damascus and eliminates the city?
Methinks he won’t bomb the Chem. facilities but rather centers of Alawite/Governmental power like the TV stations, Republican Guard bases (being evacuated while we write), Communication and INTEL centers, the Ministyr of Defense, Assad’s empty palaces and a few Naval yards (Russians already pulled out and are anchored out at sea.
What is sad, is that I as a layman, (vet) can give you the Target Bank just in my letter here. There are no surprises here, it’s all predictable.
It is so painfully obvious that Obama does not want to do this. He might do it launching 37 Tomahawks and then immediately apologize afterwards.
Why does anyone with a brain larger than a grain of sand ever listen to, let alone believe, anything that mac daddy has to say.

US President Valerie Jarrett is not a Military President, never has been, and never will be.
She will not complicate whatever flexibility that she and Putin already have.
The planned destruction of Syria is going along well for her and her native Country of birth.
War in Syria involves the US Congress, well it is supposed to - - - - .
The US Congress however, is not a problem for President Jarrett, as she has never met with them and sees no reason to do so in the future.
In other news, Golf Clown B. Hussein Obama, aka Barry Soetoro, was so exhausted from his recent bus tour promoting the Deathknell Obama’care’ Law, that he only had enough strength to play 5 hours of Golf on Sunday.
In keeping with tradition, Golf Clown Obama never comments on matters being handled by President Jarrett when there is a Golf Game in progress.
BTW, Norman Mailer’s book “The Thin Red Line” defined that line as what one crosses from sanity into insanity, IMHO.
