Per our discussion yesterday about hours versus days. Different people will react fast/slower AND with differing propensity for mayhem.

It’s a different twist on normalcy bias:
a. civilised people react to disruption with “it will get fixed soon, it always has in the past”
b. the proto-ferals will react immediately with violence and mayhem because, well, that is their way.

Getting myself home from business travel and my one child still away at school home are my biggest concerns in the event of a fast-arising disruption.

Gotta plan for all reasonable contingencies.

On your CW2 cube, you might ought to find a way to insert a velocity of violence vector on the various axes.

“Velocity of violence,” great concept.
Feral criminals will “launch” as soon as the power goes out, because they will assume it will be a short-lived opportunity for major robberies. That rapid reaction will kick off the slide in hours as you said.
