The country is in worse fiscal shape than Detroit and anyone supporting another unnecessary war is right there on par with the city council of Detroit.
You nailed it. It amazes me how long it has taken many in the U.S. to come to the realization that this mess in the Middle East has very little to do with us and everything to do with a centuries-old schism within Islam and its modern guise as a fight for power, riches and Manichean victory among the warring parties. Examining the past 12 years of history makes me wonder just how bright the leading neo-conservatism are.
Clearly, we need to extricate ourselves from the pending conflagration. Oddly, many seem anxious to jump right back in. May god help us.
