Jim, Cruz is the strongest Republican in the Senate, no question.
How can such a man be eligible to be natural born if:
He was born on Canadian soil, thus he is a Canadian citizen under their laws.
He was born to an American mother, thus he is an American under American law.
He was born to a Cuban father, thus he is a Cuban citizen under Cuban law.
He has three citizen ships, so which one prevails?
American, just because we say so?
Because we are so desperate for leadership?
The
Constitution makes a distinction between “citizen” and “natural born citizen”.
I have not seen one cogent argument that equates the two.
If we and this site are purposed to uphold Constitutional principles, we have to accept that Ted Cruz may not be eligible.
The Dems will not hesitate to rocket his case to the
Supreme Court for a ruling on his eligibility.
And unless I miss my guess, Cruz is a man of honor and would not run with his pedigree.
And if that gets me kicked off of here after 15 years, so be it.
Uh, gee....this is a bit shallow and too easy, but let me wade in. A: why can't they all prevail? B: maybe becasue he has chosen to live his entire life in one of them? C: maybe because he has declared allegiance to one of them? D: maybe because he has demonstrated allegiance to one of them? E: maybe because the intergalactic citizenship court has ruled in favor of America?
Oh, wait, E is what you apparently are waiting for. GEEZ DUDE
Wrong. The dems will never take up Cruz's case since they realize that obama has never been eligible for a host of reasons. Should the dems mount a challenge to Cruz's eligibility we can set about a set of law suits they will make null and void every law passed during zeros administration and they know it. I'm sick of the double standards. Sooner or later we have to stand up and say we have had enough.
