The speaker of the House wants to know what the legal justification for war with Syria is. And more than a quarter of the House says President Barack Obama can’t launch an attack on Syria alone. But the president has yet to give them — or the public — a response.
White House spokesman Josh Earnest repeatedly declined Thursday to give a legal justification for an attack on Syria — something that the United Kingdom has already detailed — or give an explanation on how the president can act on his own without Congressional authorization.
That will come if and when the president decides to launch an attack, Earnest told reporters.
In the meantime, Earnest said that the White House has repeatedly consulted with Congress and will continue to do so, although only senior lawmakers have gotten briefings so far.
“The president believes strongly in robust congressional consultation,” Earnest said, adding that he wasn’t ruling out all lawmakers getting a briefing at some point.

With Britain stepping out because they believe the Al Qaeda gassed Shiites in Damascus , THERE IS NO PROOF!! Know that. I think if obama does this crap he should be impeached within 24 hours. All that Boner and McUseless need do is release a statement that “The Congress of the United States does NOT authorize ANY military action at this time.

Today men and women are court martialed for obeying an illegal order. They’re taught they don’t have to obey an illegal order and, in fact, are told they MUST disobey illegal orders. If Obama orders troops to attack Syria without congress’ authority, isn’t his order illegal? Shouldn’t the military disobey the order?
Just imagine, for one moment, Bush doing this. The MSM, drive-bys, left of all stripes would be in complete meltdown.

It may very well, someday — probably not yet, not for a few lobbed missiles — come to that. Obama could face an uncompliant and even hostile military someday.
God give wisdom and safety to our men and women in military. They are probably being force fed so much bs. I pray, while they are out there, they are able to hear the truth.
