The French president has said a vote by UK MPs against involvement in military strikes on Syria has not changed France's resolve to take firm action.

Francois Hollande said all options were being considered, and that a strike within days was not ruled out.

His comments came after US Defence Secretary Chuck Hagel said Washington would continue to seek a coalition for possible military action.

However, Germany said it would not participate in military action.

Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle told the Neue Osnabruecker Zeitung newspaper that "such participation has not been sought nor is it being considered".

Russia welcomed the UK parliament's vote, saying it reflected a growing public understanding of the dangers of an attack.

So the two Communist presidents, Obama and Hollande, will fight Syria and Iran.
This should be a humiliating disaster.

A French socialist thinks it’s a good idea to attack.

I’m so reassured.

How neat it would be if they could get that rusting hulk Charles De Gaulle sunk.

With Obama playing golf on the flight deck, now that would be just poetry.

Good timing, Hollade.

It’s over. No one is backing this weird behavior of our leader.

Really, I think the first election debate question should be, ‘and have you ever paid attention to a playground fight?’ Because clearly, BO doesn’t know the first rules of proper fighting, threatening, drawing boundaries, etc.

It’s as if this weird fight he’s having by himself withSyria is his impression of what we do, what Bush did. Well the same can be said abut his voters. And Hollande

Weirdos

The head of the Western-backed Syrian opposition says the British parliament's failure to endorse military action in Syria isn't enough to hold back strikes by other allies. Ahmad al-Jarba said on France-Inter radio on Friday that he wasn't surprised by the vote that effectively removes Britain from a coalition

They may be western-backed, but in today’s world that does not mean they share traditional Weatern values. These are al-Qaeda islamofascist radicals fighting against an Iranian puppet state that resulted from the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq.
