Wow, the world is really passing we traditionalists by. Ten years ago most people thought that being a transsexual was abberant, now the MSM will accept a dude's decision that he's a gal after all WITHOUT QUESTIONING IT and just start calling him by his preferred female name EVEN THOUGH IT'S NOT HIS LEGAL NAME YET.

My opinion: until his male member is lopped off he's a guy, period.

Why not chop the “ning” from Manning and change the first name to Almost. Its name would then be Almost Man.

He’ll still be male until he replaces his Y chromosomes.

If someone wanted to be called Master of the Universe would the New York Times comply?

I prefer to be called “The Wise and Fearsome King of the Universe VanShuyten.”

Now, if I can only get in a NY Times article...

Does that mean the pension he will receive in prison will be reduced by 25%?

I mean, we all know that woman are paid less than men for the same work and all.

Why is the “sex change” of former military service member Manning being tolerated or supported in any way? Part of the punishment of this creature should be to remain imprisoned in the body of what is considered to be the “wrong” gender.

Apparently that is a more effective prison than the reinforced concrete and alloy steel bars of the physical jail cell.

Or even more evil - what if, after somehow finagling the resources to carry out the “transgender” mutilation on this creature’s body, the outcome is not at all what was expected? Is there a probability that the “reversal” will then be authorized?

To what end?

It’s really a picture of Tanya Harding he is using, right?

My opinion: until his male member is lopped off he's a guy, period.

Even then IT will just be a mutilated male.

Still wondering if Manning is a freak or a brilliant tactician.
This could all be a ruse to become a folk-hero on the left, this setting himself up for a pardon from barky.

Manning was stripped of all military rank, pay, allowances, and benefits by the court martial judge’s decision. He will NOT receive a pension. But if you are talking about some level of prisoner pay for what he will be doing as ‘hard labor,’ then you sarcasm might be correct.

It’s too bad Manning’s last name isn’t “Clinton.” That would cause all sorts of NYT hilarity as they try to be PC but not say anything bad about the heir apparent to one of their gods.

What’s his new middle initial? I’ll bet it’s C for Clinton.

Chelsea C. Manning, Esqirette.

There is actually plenty of precedence for this:

Lew Alcindor.

Cassius Clay.

Malcolm Little.

Marion Morrison.

However there are no laws or rules surrounding it, so I as a free citizen am allowed to call MISTER Manning anything I damned well please, his perverted preference notwithstanding. In keeping with that philosophy, he is BRADLEY HARDLY A. MANNING to me, and will be until I decide otherwise.
