(I was there protesting, along with my shiny new bride!) The only reason he didn’t was because Jeffords did it first, and all the promised perks evaporated like a Monsoon Haboob.
McQueeg would be a footnote by now. Assuming he stayed in the Senate (likely), he would have been against Obama in the 2008 Primaries.
