It’s coming to our senses the way our founding fathers envisaged. Only a formal declaration of war will unite the nation in this effort. This is necessary.
Yes I agree - but why did Obama beat the drums of war, only to backdown at the last minute? It all seems so ill thought through. Its clear to me Obama was prepared to ignore congress completely when he thought a strike was needed, now he is only using it for a face-saving way out when he changed his childish mind.

It’s been obvious for a long time, that the majority of U.S. constituents with time and money for politics (the more vociferous of the 40 million or so receiving incomes from government) have no will fight foreign enemies. But they have been fantasizing much about exterminating their own neighbors at home.
