On Saturday, a couple walking through the French Quarter was severely beaten in what appears to be yet another act of violence, motivated by racism.
Around 6 a.m., the couple was approached by three young black men near the intersection of Iberville and Dauphine Streets. The suspects quickly surrounded the couple and without warning, physically assaulted both of them, according to police.
The Times-Picayune reported:
The woman was punched in the mouth, police said, and her male companion was struck several times by the group. The man was beaten so badly that his jaw broke, requiring him to be hospitalized and undergo surgery, police said. Three plates were inserted into the 27-year-old male victim's jaw.
Images of the three suspects were captured by a security camera and police are now asking for the public's help in their arrest.

I will not give one thin dime to a city which elects a mayor who boasts that it is a chocolate city. Imagine a white mayor saying their was a vanilla city. The guy would be driven underground. Yet it is perfectly acceptable for them to say it.
1. Stay away from the concentrated Democrat parasite nests (”cities”)
2. Keep a small handgun in your pocket. I carry a nice little .32 Seecamp - - fits nicely and unobtrusively in a jeans pocket; you can stroll right into a stadium while the blueshirts are checking the ladies’ handbags.
3. Remember that the thug element is probably less than a third of the people you are keeping an eye on. Be friendly. When I have to drive in a city I always send a polite greeting to passersby by clicking my doorlocks a few times.
People do survive headshots, too.
Mine was a one-in-a-million shot. 99.99% of those hit frontal with a small caliber round, would have been chewed-up inside, and probably bled-out with 5-7 minutes.
An RPG hit would remove any doubts about caliber and placement.

THAT Mayor- Nagin- is now under federal indictment and VERY little is said about it locally. The current Mayor isn’t bragging about it, but he is benefitting from his ‘chocolate city’. The Landrieu’s have always been considered honorary ‘blacks’. And people have to understand-when the demographics of a city become heavily criminal/criminal related they ELECT sympathetic politicians and judges. The police department draws from the heavily criminal populace, and now the residency law is back in place so if you don’t live in the city-or are willing to move into it-you cannot be a cop. That effectively insures a primarily black/criminally connected and sympathetic police dept. Add that to judges who serve their criminal electorate by letting them go and you know how hopeless New Orleans is.
I don't know why car jacking stopped in other places, but in Maryland, it stopped because they increased the penalty to life in prison with the death penalty being possible.
What happened in Maryland was that in Columbia, MD (a wealthy crime free county of about 200,000 that averages 1 murder a year) two black men carjacked a woman and her baby. The woman did not want to leave the car without her baby, so she hung on, got her clothing caught and was dragged for about 1 mile and died, the car jackers noticed they had a baby on board, so they rolled down the window and gave the baby the heave ho out of a moving vehicle.
People (left, right, center, liberal, moderate, conservative) got really mad and made carjacking a crime almost equal to murder one.
That is when car jacking stopped in MD and not because of concealed carry.
That’s the tourist crowd on Bourbon. Yes, they do have garbage but it does get picked up.
And some people actually get out into the street at 6am to go to work. Especially if they are doing the morning breakfast/coffee work that is so popular in the FQ.

we have so much discretionary income and yet people still choose to visit downtown NY or Baltimore or NO's....
you can get the food you want somewhere else...we just have to stop using our hard earned money in these areas...
The NOPD will try their best to catch these a$$holes and make sure they serve hard time. These monkeys are messing with tourism. Iberville & Dauphine is only a block away from Bourbon St. one way & Canal St. the other way.
In other states the carjackers got frequently met with the barrel of a big gun. Prior it was easy theft until it began costing the assholes their precious little lives.
The western end of Maryland is beautiful, but your gubmit is as far left as it could get. Hard to compare Maryland with any state except maybe Minnesota. Unless MD was executing them 30 minutes following trial, I doubt jail scared them much. Maybe the carjackers didn’t understand CC recip laws and just weren’t sure someone they tried to jack might be from a CC State like Florida or Texas and just might be armed.
