DOJ Sues Louisiana to Stop School Voucher Program Helping Black Students
breitbart.com ^ | August 27, 2013 | Ben Shapiro

Last week, Eric Holder’s Department of Justice, fresh off its controversial decision to sue the state of Texas of its voter identification law, sued the state of Louisiana to block its school voucher program largely designed to help minority children. The DOJ sued to stop 34 school district from giving out private-school vouchers, claiming that such vouchers slowed the “desegregation progress.”

A full 90% of the children who benefit from the voucher program are black. The remaining 10% came from 22 school districts under desegregation orders handed down five decades ago, which prompted the DOJ to state, “the voucher recipients were in the racial minority at the public school they attended before receiving the voucher.” As the Wall Street Journal pointed out, “Justice is claiming that the voucher program may be illegal because minority kids made their failing public schools more white by leaving those schools to go to better private schools.” As black kids go to better schools, the schools left behind become less integrated, the logic goes. So keep those black kids in those failing schools.

Typically, vouchers enhance integration by allowing educational opportunities to children who have not had them before. But that’s not the point. The point is that teachers unions lose leverage when kids opt out of their failing school systems. And Eric Holder’s DOJ will do anything to help their union allies out.

Educated and intelligent black kids won’t become future Democrats. They can’t have any of that.

The Federal government should have zero involvement in schools.

The parents and students will be crushed — but —
They will just blame it on House Republicans and keep voting “D” until the day they die and for another 60 years after that.

I once thought that due to his leftist/anti-white academic background (Charles Ogletree teacher/hate whitey leader & reparationist), Holder was just “anti-white” but it looks like he is an “equal opportunity hater” after all.

If he wanted to help young black children get ahead in their education, he wouldn’t be forcing them back into the prisons they call K-12 schools that are failing because of ideologically left administrators, teachers, and unionists, as well as uninvolved parents, gangs, and no internal discipline.

Holder is the leading proponent, besides Comrade Obama, of “Keeping them down on the welfare plantation” whenever possible, keeping them addicted to govt and school programs which have repeatedly failed over the decades.

Holder once had a song written about his policies, “Mr. Pusher Man”. He is pushing failure, the creation of a permanent uneducated lower class (as a part of class warfare), and addiction to Democrat Party “promising” programs that never deliver to the kids, only money to their cronies and toadies.

I feel sorry for these children who deserve better, but they will never make the necessary breakout into a different “opportunity” as long as the marxists and black racists are in control of the US and many local governments.

I saw what they were going through back in the sixties at the Ludlow Elementary School in North Phila. (the area that Bill Cosby talked about in his life story and his books). Concerned white teachers were the ones who were trying to help these kids realize that there was a different world outside of their poverty prison. The Democrats in both politics and the school system made sure that they never got to see it.

Today, it is unconcerned black government officials and school administrators who are trying to keep these kids in their local prisons known as “neighborhood” schools.

If there is a question of good and evil here, you can now spell “evil” in a different way, HOLDER.

The Dems are handing the Repubs the Black vote on a silver platter, the way I see it.

School choice is a huge issue they can get a lot of mileage out of. Unless, of course, the GOP is also beholden to the teacher unions as well.

Can't let them off the plantation. Holder and Obama are attempting to enforce a modern day Fugitive Slave Act.

Louisiana (and every other state) should do away with the single payer socialized schooling scheme and replace it with a free market capitalist system.

Rand Paul and a few others think School Choice is a very major winning wedge issue for the GOP. I agree. The GOP should run with it.

Although I am not a voucher supporter (it’s government funding of private schools...and ignores home schooling).....the fact that it is called “racist” is disturbing....but then again Obama and Holder are vile Black Racist
