Reuters Jeff Mason and Mark Felsenthal report: John Boehner, Republican speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, said on Tuesday he would support President Barack Obama's call for military action in Syria and urged his colleagues in Congress to do the same. Speaking to reporters after a meeting with Obama at the White House, Boehner said the United States had to respond to the use of chemical weapons in Syria and show allies that America would stand up when necessary.

I’m totally ready for Texas to secede! My frustration has almost reached a tipping point. The only bright point of light left is Ted (the Missile) Cruz!

“These “representatives” are out of touch with the nation.”

These “representatives” are only doing what the Saudis have paid them to do.

Well Maggief...Boehner just put the card back in Obamas hand...he can now no longer "Blame" anyone but himself ....I think Obama thought he could slide out of this by blaming the Republicans....that's no longer on the table as I see it... If anything he will blame those who voted against it now....which will include those among his own party.... Even so I do believe we are going to war.....too much buildup by all nations now...only God can turn this trajectory and I;m not so sure He isn't moving it along... ....

The United States is at war with Al-Qaeda.

The Syrian rebels are Al-Qaeda.

If we attack the Syrian government, we are aiding and comforting Al-Qaeda.

Therefore, the leaders of the United States of America are advocating aiding and comforting the enemies of the United States.

Section 3 of the United States Constitution defines treason and its punishment.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.”

“I think it’s more ideal to be a Republican Member of Congress, you get all the perks with none of the responsibility, you can just whine and bitch the whole time.”

I should have responded to that part of Bolton’s statement because I didn’t agree with it. I’m not sure it matters -— Dem or Repub. I have thought that once Obama turned his and Cameron’s humiliating defeats into a win/win for him by following Cameron’s example and taking the issue to Congress, pretending the Constitution or Congress mattered to him, he put himself into a win/win position.

Now Congress and its members are playing on his field. Blaming and shifting blame is his second talent. Lying is his first.

That talent will also come in handy if Obama decides a “limited strike” won’t save enough face or shift the balance of power.

Remember the insistence/drum beat that there will be “no boots on the ground”? I can’t find the link but I have already seen an Obama plan that would send special forces into Syria to secure chemical weapons! Insane!

No matter what limitations Congress puts on Obama’s war, once they vote “yea,” it will be an open-ended war to do with as he sees personally/politically fit. Syria has become very personal to Obama, and that is dangerous for us.

That’s not is what is going to happen. The kenyan will hide out this week and let the GOP “leadership” twist in the wind. Boehner’s statement was total nonsense and now he is going to be on the hot seat.

Well, obama has alienated out allies to the point where they probably could care less about helping him. Sort of the way I feel. Dude, go in there, but NOT. ONE. OF. OUR. TROOPS!!

Boehner is as useless as any so-called “leader” I have ever witnessed. Why don’t they replace his butt!?

Just wanted you to know that no one at the RNC is picking up the phone; you just go into telephone hell. I guess my donation to them will be treated in the same manner, it will go into donation hell and will be paid when hell freezes over

The truth be told they don't care about your single money & vote. These scumbags can go to lunch with lobbyists & get 250,000 signatures or dollars. Boner being so bad it seems somebody could primary him with little effort.

Ego and greed make people behave in strange and unethical ways. Aside from these considerations Boehner likely also has some skeltons in his closet.

Whatever, Boehner is a disgrace and his party is complicit.

You can count on people like Boehner and the rest of the “Republican Leadership” for one thing, and one thing only: complaining and grandstanding about their opposition to Obama’s policies, but then signing on to the deal when push comes to shove. On every question that counts, GOP “opposition” is mostly a cheap act.
