Whatever you do, don’t mention third party!

Because the GOP was never a third party based on pulling in unhappy supporters of other parties, it just sprang into being fully-formed ;-)

It's interesting how the GOP was formed around just a few issues - to fight the expansion of slavery and to improve the economy. It also knocked out some parties whose supporters felt there was no room for another party....

My plan going forward is to vote for the best Conservative in each race. That may include the occasional Republican, may include the occasional independent, may include the occasional third party.
