Bewildering. Perverse. These arent the words of Charles Krauthammer or Marc Thiessen on the pages of the Washington Post in reaction to the Department of Justice lawsuit against Louisianas school-voucher program, but those of the Posts editors. The DoJ argued in its lawsuit that the vouchers intend to undo segregation, but since 90% of voucher recipients in the program are black, the Post pronounces itself mystified as to what Attorney General Eric Holder could possibly mean:

Elect Democrats and watch your children die.
Pretty much everything Progressives do has the result of trapping poor, black kids in failure.
Someday minorities may catch on that while hypocritical urban liberals oppose vouchers, they themselves “choose” good private schools for their own kids. They may also one day come to realize that the liberals always seem to situate their abortion mills in minority neighborhoods.
I am cynical that the WaPo would do anything to damage their religion, liberalism.
As for Krauthammer or Thiessen’s comments... the average communist who reads the WaPo has already been “educated” that these men are to be ignored and ridiculed, no matter what they say.
I think Holder has kind of jumped the shark on this one. It’s clear this has nothing to do with improving the lot of black kids, and everything to do with making sure that they stay in a place where they can easily be indoctrinated, that is, the public schools.
Even some of the liberals, those few who actually are of good will, are beginning to go a little wobbly on Obama & Co. Maybe the magic is gone.
DoJ leader Holder would clearly much rather have his people remain as poor and as miserable and deprived as possible if that means they can still unite around common enemies and if he can make sure they are never taught in any way to think of themselves as Americans just like anyone else. I try hard to be optimistic and in good spirits as much as possible. But still, it is kinda tough being hopefully about the future when he still has a job of any capacity at all, that I’ll admit.
and don’t forget the teachers unions.
“Even some of the liberals, those few who actually are of good will, are beginning to go a little wobbly on Obama & Co. Maybe the magic is gone.”
At this point only a moron wouldn’t be at the very least wobbly on Obama and his communist cast.
Our town has a mayoral election this November. There was a guy going door to door, and somehow managed to miss me. As he talked to our neighbor, I told my wife I had 2 questions that could quickly decide if he was worth talking to...
1 - Which party, of the two major parties, do you most closely align? (An answer of Democrat ends the conversation).
2 - Did you support Obama in 2012? (If you did, you’re clearly too stupid to be running for any office)

It’s not just about the kids, it’s also about keeping all those black teachers and administrators employed. If the schools had to compete for talent then the ones that were failing would have no choice but to fire the low performing teachers and potentially replace them with, gasp, white teachers.
A solid education increase the likelyhood of independence from gov’t programs.
Obama can’t stand the thought of losing control, so he makes every effort to enlarge the dependent class.
Until then, I guess there’s a smaller chance that your private-school-
attending kid will get the daylights beaten out of him on a school bus.
It is not expedient to allow black children to receive any sort of actual education. They might grow up with the wrong attitudes and certainly with too much knowledge and an ability to reason.
Guess I escaped in spite the lack of solidity....

Therefore they should be warehoused in government indoctrination centers for at least seven hours per day, five days per week, thirty six weeks per year. Obama and Secretary Duncan would like longer days and year-round attendance for even more indoctrination.
