This one isn't a crook in the strictest sense of the word.Yes,he's a Rat.Yes,he fills the city payroll with Rat hacks.Yes,he takes the Marxist position on every issue.But the most noteworthy trait of *this* mayor is the fact that he has the IQ of a bag of rocks.He's genuinely illiterate.
The good Lard brings it and He can take it away.

OTOH, Curley perfected the economic burdening of those that would oppose him, chasing the wealthy out to the 'burbs.
Detroit's Coleman Young did the same thing, on steroids, but to the white middle class. Some where along the time line, the black middle class started to wise up. Those not on the city payroll, that is, and fled as well.
