The objection was never over who set the red line. It was the fact that Obama said that if chemical or biological weapons were used, it would change his calculations about the issue.
And he strongly hinted he would then take military action. And then he didn’t.
That’s the criticism.
But nobody but him cares whether he was the inventor of the red line or not.
And the media will buy it, end up swooning in jugears' arms, and then promptly be dumped in the mud when he's ready to move on.
