If he did NOT set the RED LINE then we DO NOT need to “save this face” as the left has said

The Limbaugh theorem - Little boy king barry is not responsible for anything and he can address his LIV and explain that he is working for them and fighting against the obstructionist Repubs. Surprising he did not blame Bush and instead blamed "THE WORLD".

“Wasn’t me. I’m not in any way responsible for what’s going on. I’m out there every day fighting for these issues.”

That’s how leftist dictators hold on to power in many countries- I’m fighting these powerful historic forces for you, every day, and this issue is caused by [fillintheblank] not me or the valiant efforts of my administration.

Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia...USA

"It was Bush. Bush set the red line. I remember very clearly when he set the red line, and I opposed it then, as I do today. I think we can all agree to blame Bush, the irresponsible red line setter." You're probably being sarcastic. Check this out: Democrats, WMD's & The Iraq War

MR. CARNEY: The President’s use of the term red line was deliberate and was based on U.S. policy. The world knew that the Syrian government possessed chemical weapons, and we had a concern that as the regime was increasingly beleaguered, it might use chemical weapons against the Syrian people in desperation. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/05/06/press-briefing-press-secretary-jay-carney-562013 Any bets on how long before this disappears into the Ministry of Truth?

Idiot.

If you weren’t so self possessed with I, me and other, uh, you know...what I mean.

You could have turned the phrase:
“The world set a red line. The world set a red line when governments representing 98 percent of the world’s population said the use of chemical weapons are [inaudble] and passed a treaty forbidding their use, even when countries are engaged in war. Congress set a red line when it ratified that treaty. Congress set a red line when it indicated that in a piece of legislation entitled the Syria Accountability Act that some of the horrendous things happening on the ground there need to be answered for.

The overwhelming consensus of humanity says is wrong.”

He could have just moved on from there.

My big gripe with Obama used to be his Marxist origins. But now it’s his narcissistic personality disorder that’s REALLY scary.

Hot Air has a good comment on this:

” ... said Van Hollen, the more Obama seems aligned with superhawks like McCain, the less Democratic support there’s likely to be. McCain, being aware of that, might then figure that he needs to be pretend-outraged at how dovish the resolution is in order to firm up Dem support.”

No wonder everyone in the Middle East is laughing at us..we have an absolute moron for a President..who not only won once but twice..that’s even sadder than Obama’s idiotic comment, its the fact that morons voted for him twice

Brain function loss? Have you heard the Kenyan speak? uh uh ah oh uh duh um aeiou——he just needs a couple vowels and a few random consonants to tell us every thing he knows. They tell us not to call the slow kids “retarded” but this stooge is a poster child for brain damage that had to start quite some decades ago. When we finally get to peek at his school records we’re going to find that he slid all the way thru school claiming he was a disadvantaged Kenyan-—not just naturally dumb.

He’s never to blame. He never takes any responsibility. His leadership skills are worse than nonexistent. He lacks courage and honor. FAIL.

He and his supporters are the lowest form of life in the entire universe.

Thank you for posting. Really worth a look (if only for the fawning looks he gets from the "independent press").

obama does this because, other than to maybe point out his blatant lies, no one will hold him to account ... at least not effectively hold him to account. Bolstered by his affirmative action-launched ego and his complete lack of respect for the "opposition party" leaders, obama has no fear of being challenged by anyone (especially the "journalists" who so pride themselves on their professionalism and objectivity).

The objection was never over who set the red line. It was the fact that Obama said that if chemical or biological weapons were used, it would change his calculations about the issue.

And he strongly hinted he would then take military action. And then he didn’t.

That’s the criticism.

But nobody but him cares whether he was the inventor of the red line or not.
