Obama had many months to make clear he didn’t set a red line.

I’ve already seen this meme being used on Daily Kos, which mans it will be in the media tonight.
“Obama said that if the world fails to act, it will send a message that despots and authoritarian regimes “can continue to act with impunity.”
The “world” really doesn’t give a damn about the 450 children gassed by Syria. They will only use the incident to criticize America if we act or if we fail to act. Doing what is proposed by Obama is extremely weak and far worse than doing nothing. Let the “world” take care of things this time.

It appears that the public has set a red line. It doesn’t want to attack Syria just to save the president from his rhetorical blunders and reckless adventures.
