Secretary of State John Kerry said at Wednesday’s hearing that Arab counties have offered to pay for the entirety of unseating President Bashar al-Assad if the United States took the lead militarily.

“With respect to Arab countries offering to bear costs and to assess, the answer is profoundly yes,” Kerry said. “They have. That offer is on the table.”

Asked by Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-Fla.) about how much those countries would contribute, Kerry said they have offered to pay for all of a full invasion.

the Arabs want to pay they can damn well fight themselves ..

No, that would be too dangerous. They might lose their lives, or get hurt.

Didn’t I hear (and see) John Scary crying about how the U.S. should NOT be involved in Regime change before the Iraq War began in 2003? What an arrogant, pompous, self-aggrandizing, self-serving, narcissistic fool.

I’m quite happy that my son is now out of the Army. I am extremely fearful for our soldiers who are being forced to serve under these clowns.

Kerry: Arab Countries Offered to Pay for Invasion

How much? Free oil for life sounds good.

Many conveniently forget that GW Bush told us the Iraqi's would pay for that war.

CNN estimated early on that it could cost $1 Trillion. More recent figures put the cost at $2-3 Trillion.

Has that check cleared yet?

How does the US military feel about being the Arabs mercenaries?

I don’t like it.

In fact, if the Arabs want to pay they can damn well fight themselves.

Our blood isn’t for sale.

They should just hire the Chinese, they have all those men without women they could just pay them by emptying out their Harems...

What...so now Kerry wants to sell off U.S. miltiary involvement to the highest bidder? What are we now, the world’s mercinaries?

Who is running US foreign policy? The Saudis?

Sounds like the Sunnis want their own caliphate and are want to pay for the U.S. to be the muscle to obtain it.

To hell with that. Impeach and remove these idiots and let’s get some bonafied Americans, who care about American interests and traditional American values back in charge!

This is getting more bizarre by the day.

If they’re willing to pay someone to do it, why not hire muslims?

I could support an invasion if we are going to turn the country into a Christian nation, ban Islam and make it a territory of the United States.

I wouldn't.

I am trying to find a link to any MSM outlet covering this quote. None to be found.

He said it during the House hearing.

This realclearpolitics.com link includes video:

Kerry: "Arab Countries" Have Offered To "Bear Costs And Assist" Attack On Syria

Additional discussion in Daily Mail UK.

I thought they were paying us something but I haven’t heard anything about it for years. I guess the check is in the mail.

I find that discussion of paying for an invasion by U.S. servicemen and women to be wholly inappropriate and offensive. They did not sign up to be mercenaries.

The US will now provide “War Services” to the highest bidder.

Perhaps Iran might want to out-bid the Arabs so that the US can do their bidding instead.

Another level of humiliation added to obamas transformation of America.....our US military can now be considered mercenaries

I wonder if any Republican puke (even the so-called conservative ones or the one who asked the initial question of who was paying for this... did ANYONE hammer Kerry for admitting our troops will now be paid as mercenaries for the muzzzlim RAT bastard terrorists? I cannot believe the slow-witted, dumb-witted Repubs in comparison to the evil demoRATs who always seem ready with another accusation.
