Iran Plots Revenge on U.S. Officials Say Intercepted Message to Militants Orders Reprisals in Iraq if Syria Hit

By JULIAN E. BARNES and ADAM ENTOUS

WASHINGTON—The U.S. has intercepted an order from Iran to Shiite militants in Iraq to attack the U.S. Embassy and other American interests in Baghdad in the event of a strike on Syria, officials said, amid an expanding array of reprisal threats across the region.

Military officials have been trying to predict the range of possible responses from Syria, Iran and their allies. U.S. officials said they are on alert for Iran's fleet of small, fast boats in the Persian Gulf, where American warships are positioned. U.S. officials also fear Hezbollah could attack the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.

While the U.S. has positioned military resources in the region for a possible strike, it has other assets in the area that would be ready to respond to any reprisals by Syria, Iran or its allies.

Those deployments include a strike group of an aircraft carrier and three destroyers in the Red Sea, and an amphibious ship, the USS San Antonio, in the Eastern Mediterranean, which would help with any evacuations.

The U.S. military has also readied Marines and other assets to aid evacuation of diplomatic compounds if needed, and the State Department began making preparations last week for potential retaliation against U.S. embassies and other interests in the Middle East and North Africa.

“U.S. officials also fear Hezbollah could attack the U.S. Embassy in Beirut.”

No shit, Sherlock. They’ve done it before.

They’re all positioning assets for when the stuff hits the fan. If the military genius (/s) Obama makes a bad move, the entire region goes up in smoke.

Prayers up for our troops and our nation and our allies that Obama is about to betray.

King Obama is killing America.

Yep, no matter how these foul ups play out, either way, any way, America gets knocked down a few notches, over and over again.

I’d like to see a poll advocating bombing Iran instead

I’m of the firm opinion the US has pre-positioned troops. That makes me wonder if we’ve been fed a real line of bull. I suppose it’s so we can be mercenaries for the king of saud or trouble-shooters for the muslim brotherhood.

I also explains Kerry’s extreme reluctance to rule out boots on the ground.

What I want to rule out is stupidity, and with Obama and Kerry in charge, that will only happen if someone plans a golf or yacht outing. While those 2 are distracted the generals would get to run this war.

September 11 is next Wednesday.

Nobody can tell me all these countries really had no idea that someone was intercepting ‘portant messages. This is becoming a dangerous joke.

What is Obama and his cronies going to do? Announce that they will be shut down for 1 week again so that the bombers can put their plans on hold for a week. Dumb shiit planning right there now.

As far as “intercepted” messages. I am sorry, but I do not believe a word, sorry LETTER that comes out of that crew in DC that is wagging the dog. They are nothing more than a bunch of lieing no good sonsabitches and all need to be arrested, tried and if found guilty of treason hung by their necks until dead.

Perhaps we should send them a few hundred more million dollars and few shiploads of weapons.

Obama has positioned himself into a lose / lose proposition. If he bombs he gets the fallout. If he doesn’t he didn’t back up his mouth. what a dumn ass

“While the U.S. has positioned military resources in the region for a possible strike, it has other assets in the area that would be ready to respond to any reprisals by Syria, Iran or its allies.”

But all of these liberal experts, and knuckleheads like Bob Beckel say that there won’t be American soldiers at risk because these will be strikes by tomahawks. All lies and bullshit, an attack will inflame the entire region and result in thousands of casualties, including many American servicemen.

Replace Obama with “us” being in the lose-lose because nothing is ever his fault.

Iran convinced West will not attack
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1898619/posts

Meanwhile, favored, socialist constituents in both U.S. political parties have decided to convert and follow Shiite Islam and are prepared to allow Russia and China to design and implement our new government, so military spending might not cut into those constituents' incomes from Uncle Samantha (debt) so much or raise the cost of fuel for their tourist excursions.

But it's going to happen anyway. And the later it happens, the more likely with nuclear exchanges. We should have taken care of Iran a long time ago, during the Bush Administration.

Yes good point. Obama always ensures WE lose no matter what. Obama doesn’t care and is more interested in his so-called legacy. He wants to be associated with the “arab spring” and toppling of at least three dictatorships. Fallout, deaths, costs, wars - none of that matters to him.
