Stocks turn lower as Russia escalates Syria
NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — U.S. stocks cleared Friday gains after Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly said his nation would help Syria if that nation were attacked.
MOSCOW — A Russian warship carrying “special cargo” will be dispatched toward Syria,
Nuclear weapons.

Russia has its only Mediterranean port in Syria.

Obama says that he told Putin that he “doesn’t expect” them to agree on Syria, though he thinks that Putin’s position on Syria evidence is less tenable in light of the recent reports on the chemical weapons attack. Obama emphasizes that even if the U.S., Russia, and other parties of the conflict don’t agree, it’s still important to work together to stem the humanitarian and geopolitical crisis.

Even if you are accurate, it still would result in a full-on nuclear war in about 2 days.

The ship with the “special cargo” is the Russian version of an LST.
So doubtful that the special cargo is nukes.
More likely additional ballistic missiles and/or air defense stuff that is mobile and can be RO/ROd onto and off the ship.
