Video footage has emerged which shows the moment seven of President Bashar al-Assad's Syrian soldiers are executed on camera by rebels fighting to overthrow the regime.
The soldiers are stripped, bound and pushed to the ground where a number of rebels stand over them pointing guns at their bodies. Some bear vicious injuries on their backs and arms.
Just before they are killed, the ring-leader Abdul Samad Issa - known as 'The Uncle', recites a poem before he fires the first bullet.
'For fifty years, they are companions to corruption', he says. 'We swear to the Lord of the Throne, that this is our oath: We will take revenge.'
The horrific scene filmed in April 2012 was documented in a video smuggled out of Syria only a few days ago by a former rebel who says he had become horrified by the brutality of the tactics his one-time comrades are using.

I’m certain that the tactics of the government forces are quite similar; last I heard, war was all about killing. The take-away is that regardless of which side you are on, don’t let yourself be captured. This is a fight to the death.
I actually support cruise missile strikes - the threat of them has rattled the Syrian high command to the point where they’re even moving the office furniture - imagine what a couple of tomahawks into Assad’s swimming pool will do.
Here’s my prediction: Senate says “aye”, and before the House can say “nay”, the President goes on TV and tells the Syrians to hold onto their hats; the Syrian army then mutinies, caps Assad, and declares a cease-fire.
This particular band of thugs are using AK-47’s most probably not supplied by us. But, I’m sure they will use whatever that can get their hands on. Great pic BTW of the new, more enlightened Government to come to Syria. Hell, that’s probably a pic of the new President and his cabinet.

If I was a politician, that would be my litmus test on who to support around the world. Whoever isn't screaming that phrase is the defacto "good guy". if both sides are screaming it, then no one get my support.
