[BROOKLYN, Md] The victim, a 43-year-old man, told officers that he was walking in the area and ran into a group of five teens, who punched and kicked him, knocking him to the ground. He said some of the teens stole some of the clothes he was wearing before they ran away.

All this crime is going to stop immediately, what with Maryland’s new gun control laws.
I think the opposite of “plummet” is “skyrocket”, that is.
There sure are lots of stories about apparently feral black youth, roaming in packs, attacking people.
it’s racist to say anything, I understand how political correctness works. But, this seems to be happening a lot.
So did they ambush the guy for his clothes, or are they now starting to take trophies?

This happened to a white guy in Baltimore within the last few years, IIRC. They made video recordings of the attack.
