Robber Who Got Out Of Prison Early Allegedly Went On A Killing Spree In Nebraska
Business Insider ^ | Sept 5, 2013 | Erin Fuchs

A convicted robber in Nebraska allegedly shot four people in the head weeks after finishing a decade-long prison stint that began when he was a teenager....
.
.
.
Jenkins' early release obviously calls into question the wisdom of "good-time" credit. It also calls into question the notion that prison has any power at all to rehabilitate criminals. Jenkins got locked up as a relatively young teenager and apparently just got more violent.

The murder of 33-year-old Andrew Kruger is particularly horrifying. Kruger, a wife and mother of three, was on her way home from work right before she died, WOWT.com reported.

If he went in clean of tats I would say that his body art alone demonstrated he is still a loser and should have stayed there.

From another article:
Other arrests in the case include Jenkins' sister Erica A. Jenkins, 23, on a felony warrant and two counts of assault of a confined person; Christine S. Bordeaux, 39, on suspicion of felon in possession of ammunition; and Anthony L. Wells, 30, on suspicion of felon in possession of a firearm.

Erica Jenkins also appeared in court, shouting expletives at the judge as he set her bail at $350,000 on a second charge of assaulting a confined person.

Prosecutors said she has assaulted two inmates since her arrest on a warrant out of Sarpy County last week.

"Why is my bond so high?" Erica Jenkins shouted. "Why the (expletive) is my bond so high?"

"Do you want a muzzle?" the judge asked her.

It took four deputies to subdue Erica Jenkins after she kicked over a podium that nearly ended up hitting the prosecutor.

I agree. I think there should be an upfront presumption that someone who looks like that is going to be a problem when he’s released.

Four deputies, you hit her in the head with an asp baton and the fight is over. Quit baby-caking these people and beat the crap out of them, it is all they understand.

Andrea’s friends find it hard to believe that Nikko Jenkins got out before his prison sentence was over and this case has struck a nerve. Jennifer Miller says she’s purchased a gun and plans to take a Concealed Carry class this weekend.

“It's really taken me back to that you really have to watch your back in this day and age and make sure someone isn't following you,” she said. “You don't say the wrong thing. I just don't feel safe anywhere I go now."

He looks like a nice enough guy, but apparently looks can be deceiving.

Classic modern journalism. It sounds like Andrew Kruger is a wife and mother, but I expect inept writing. I guessed that this was either the wrong name or the (murdered?) husband's name. Is it really that hard to write comprehensibly?

Book. Cover. You can tell more often than not, notwithstanding the old adage.

Oh, no!
That would be (gasp)...PROFILING!

Oh, the humanity!

I’ve supported three strikes laws from the beginning. And I never saw them as a deterrent. I saw them simply as a way to remove dangerous people from contact with civilization. End of story.

I think the country should have “three strikes” prisons. Every single inmate is in there because they are in for life because of three strikes. They should not even associate with other prisoners. They are no longer part of our culture nor our society. If we had the technology, I’d like to put them in an underground colony on one of the moons of Jupiter. Give ‘em cable TV and a gym and they can live out their days in an ecclesiastes sort of way, but they have given up their right to be a part of the general society - permanently.

They had a typo. The victims are Andrea Kruger, 33, Curtis Bradford, 22, Juan Uribe-Pena, 26, and Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz, 29.

Just a typo, I guess. Her name was Andrea.

I’ll take it a step further. This whole case is sort of a racist thing. I’m not saying that is necessarily wrong, either. If the murder victim had been some black welfare mom or some inner city black kid in a hoodie this would not have been much of a story.

But one of the ferel animals got too close to “us”, and a very pretty mother of four was killed by this beast. And we are utterly appauled.

And we should be.

Aren’t doing tattoos in prison against the regs? If so..how did this guy get out on good behavior. Now we will waste untold amount of money on his defense and prosecution. I guess the lawyers are the only ones that make money at this game.

Tattoos are on my list of don’t hire!

For those who say that offends them, I counter, your tats offend me and I am tired of the minority sensitivity being more important than the rest of us.

Agreed.
Those who show by their behavior they have declared war on civilization should be treated like enemy combatants.

Only exception is that they shouldn't be given gyms where they can bulk up and become even bigger threats. Instead, they should be given strict rules of conduct with summary executions meted out to violators.
