I actually have thought quite a bit about challenging Mr. Boehner in the primary. I’ve contributed to his campaigns in the past and I personally think he is a good man. But I also believe we are at a critical juncture in our history and I think he is exercising poor judgement across a range of issues. I could fund the early stages of the campaign myself and I don’t have the baggage or political ties that many others in this area have.
The only thing that’s stopping me is that I think it would take a ton of fund-raising and effort. Beating an incumbent is historically next to impossible. I’m going to think about it over the weekend. Perhaps I’ll have some news for you next Monday or Tuesday.
The conditions are right for historical change, I hope that you rise to and are successful in this challenge.
