Since sarin gas has ONLY fallen on the Free Syrian Army and not the al aqaeda-backed forces, it wasn't Assad's doing since he (like his Dad) has been trying to eliminate the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Islamists for decades.
Except Hizbollah and the Islamists in Iran. Assad rather likes them
