I am hoping to see a swing away from the Greens in the Senate - (not in Vic though) - yes I think the smaller right wing parties might do well.

I’ve heard that it is mandatory for Australians to vote. Is this true?

Don’t you love the greens shooting themselves in the foot...”Tony Abbott scares me”...which of course was all the more reason to give him the vote.PPhht...wankers.

Yes gave me the opportunity to say to a few people who repeated it to me “I’m not going to be ruled by fear”. Greens will lose ground to Clive Palmer - OMG
I have never seen Labor fall apart like they did in this election cycle - like any egomaniac KRUDD could not stand to be behind and not popular which caused him to try anything to get more votes rather than sticking to whatever message they had. He looked desperate and childish! He ended up being their Achilles Heel rather than their saviour.
Still we havn’t seen the results yet but I am hopefull.

Canada's Harper is considered a screaming liberal on social issues by any American social conservative such as myself. That is true, but at least he dismissed some of the "gun control" and "global warming" nonsense. Plus, the liberals hate him, so the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Plus, the liberals hate him, so the enemy of my enemy is my friend. That is true and Harper Derangement Syndrome is very common among leftists up there.
