Read the New York Times reports of what the Pope was doing at the time, I think scales might just fall from your eyes.
Please remember that the POPE does NOT have an Military, he could ONLY do so much and he did WAY more than Jews in THIS country did!!
And why aren't Jews mad at FDR, since he sent a BOATLOAD (the St. Louis) BACK to Germany to be KILLED since he wouldn't let them land here!! Geesh......Many, Many Catholic Martyrs are now SAINTS because of saving or trying to save Jews.!!
I concede you are right, but I am referring to the 1930s, early 1940s, as Hitler rose to power and attacked many innocent states such as Poland, Czechoslovakia, Norway, Denmark, France, Great Britain Greece, Yugoslavia, etc. Many countries, Britain, France the USA, etc. along with the Vatican, ignored or lived with the menace hoping it would go away. I am not knocking Pope Pius, I loved him, I grew up with him as my Pope!!! I know he did all he could, being based in Mussolini’s Italy!!! I am saying the whole world closed their eyes and swallowed the lies of Hitler and his NAZI ilk!!! Obama and Hitler, IMHO, are cut from the same cloth!!! I am deeply sorry if I hurt offended you. I see our wounded vets every day with missing limbs, brain damage, mental problems, etc., knowing the man that commands them could care less. He only cares about his own ego and power!!!
