That will provide some relief in a city many parts of which are considered "food deserts" under federal standards. I'll bet Super Wal-Mart would be unwelcome.

Someone was saying up thread that there is a Wal-Mart only a mile away! You can’t trust anything they say.

The next nearest grocery store better be prepared for the human debris that will be heading its way.

Bear. Bare goes with the Geroge Castanza kind of shrinkage. :)That was a classic episode.
I saw the goof after I posted and lamented the absence of an edit button. It happens a lot to me.

Creepy place. I was visiting my sister (in PA) once and my niece asked for a ride to Camden to grab the bus into NYC (she was going to school there).
You couldn't pay me enough to live anywhere NC and north. I'd deport myself first.

I don’t recall ever seeing a security guard at any of the supermarkets around my area.

DC public schools, usually highest in nation, is now running around $30K/student. That’s easily 3x what they spent a mere 10 years ago. There are some common threads re per pupil expenditures that have to be explored if ever we want to see reasonable expenditures and, more important, outcomes that justify the expense.

Its one of the towns in Maine where you go to get a ride on a schooner. I'd like to crew one for a couple of days.
It's been a while since I've worked masts.

It’s not just the pay structure.
I had a business that serviced grocery stores in s. Florida for 25 years
They’d close em often cause the “shrinkage” was so high there was no way to make a penny.
Shrinkage is a nice way of saying theft.
From employees, vendors, and shoppers.
Just try to make a buck in Miami
Good luck
